2018: Goals and Resolutions

Happy New Year!!! This is my first blog post in a very very long time. Too long of a time. But, there will be more posts to come about how my first semester of my sophomore year ended and my blog hiatus. A new post has been long overdue, and today was just the perfect day to get back into blogging.

Best Dorm Storage

College move-in season is upon us! It's a really fun and exciting time....until you realize you have way to much stuff and nowhere to put it. First, if find yourself packing way too much stuff, read my post about what not to bring to college here. Second, below are all the best ways that I've found to store your stuff in college and why. Plus there's link to every item I talk about!

3 Black Beauty Influencers You Should Be Following Right Now

In a world of social media and the ever increasing number of beauty bloggers, influencers, and gurus, it's really hard to sift through them all and find the best ones. The ones that are most relatable, reliable, and down to earth. It can be even harder to find beauty bloggers of color.
When I first started getting into makeup a few years ago, I went to YouTube. I tried watching videos of vloggers that were a lighter complexion than I am and while it's fun to watch their technique and get their opinions on various brands and products, I always had to take their commentary with a grain of salt. I knew the colors they were using might not look the same on me and may not even show up at all.  So I started looking for influencers more like me and I'm so glad that I did.

The Liebster Award!

Today's post is a little special. My blogger friend, Alexia, a.k.a. Lexi Chantel, nominated me for the Liebster Award! This award is given to bloggers by other bloggers. It's a cool way for bloggers to recognize other bloggers and help promote small blogs. It's kind of like chain mail (the good kind). You nominate 5 people and they each nominate 5 more people and so on. The person who nominated you asks you questions that you answer on your blog. I'm super excited to do something like this. I love getting to know other bloggers and letting my readers know a bit more about me. I'll be answering the questions that Alexia left for me on her post. So without further ado, here's a little bit about me!

July Ipsy Review!

It's ipsy time again! This month's subscription bag came early! The estimated arrival time is the middle of the month, so the 15th or the 16th. This bag came on the 10th like an early present (yay)! And it really was a present. I'm obsessed with pretty much everything in my bag.

I highly suggest that every makeup lover, beginner or guru, sign up for ipsy.

Freshman 15 : How to Survive Freshman Year

When I started my first year in college there was definitely a common fear among me and my friends- the dreaded Freshman 15. While some may have fallen victim to this terrible curse (me included lol), here's a Freshman 15 that will actually help and that you don't have to be afraid of.

10 Things I Brought to College and Never Used

I was recently going through all of the things that I brought home when I moved out of my dorm in May and I had one main thought throughout- "Wow, I brought A LOT of stuff." I was looking through things that I didn't even know I'd brought with me! I'm getting ready to move in again (less than a month!) and I know there's a whole bunch of stuff I packed last year that I'm not bringing this year. So here are some of the things that I brought to college and rarely or never touched.
